Who We Are

The ministry began in 2015 by simply checking fluids and tire pressures during the Crossroads Community Churches Food Pantry day. We soon realized that we needed to take it to the next level which is performing actual repairs. In May 2018 we formed Godsend Garage and with God blessing us with generous donations from individuals, local car dealers, and other businesses and a grant from the Howard Community Foundation, We began operation at our current location on April 1, 2020. We have been blessed to bless 500 car owners each year with repairs, a car, or sometimes just some advice and prayer.

The workforce is all volunteers at Godsend Garage. Made up of men and women who feel led to serve in this way and help individuals who otherwise would be without transportation. We also accept donated vehicles to refurbish and donate on to those needing a car. Usually single moms and single grandmothers.

Anyone requesting Godsend Garage's assistance is required to fill out an application which is on the church's website, ecrossroads.org

What We Do

Godsend Garage volunteers repair and rehabilitate vehicles for the under-resourced individuals in our community in our fully functional and professional repair facility. We have 3 lifts, diagnostic software, and most professional tools and equipment to run an extensive and excellent auto repair shop.

The most common repairs at Godsend Garage :
Brakes
Suspension components replaced
Repair, mount, and balance tires
Oil changes and preventative maintenance
Computer/electronic diagnoses and repair
Repair driveability problems
and much more. But there are some engine and transmission repairs that we cannot do.

If you would rather donate financially to the ministry, please consider the following:
