Who We Are
Bridges Outreach is a nonprofit ministry based out of Kokomo, Indiana. We exist to bridge people to Christ and to make disciples who make disciples. We do that by bridging churches, schools, and communities through programs that feed, tutor, mentor, employ and provide affordable housing to youth and their families. Bridges Outreach creates windows of opportunity for families by developing each individual academically, socially, emotionally, physically, financially and spiritually.
What We Do
The main Program Pillars under our vision and mission are:
- After-School/Summer Programming: We are entering our 20th year of after-school mentoring, tutoring, and disciple making program. Currently, Bridges has programs in four schools: Bon Air, Central, & Maple Crest Middle Schools, and Kokomo High School!
- Project 30 Mentoring: We recruit, train, and connect caring adults from the community with students in need of a positive role model. Bridges provides mentors for 11 local elementary schools.
- Housing: Home ownership is important to us, and we believe it is one of the best ways to help a family build a sustainable legacy in our community. We desire to flip 1-3 homes a year in Kokomo and fund housing counseling to Bridges families to increase first time home ownership.
- Family Services: Bridges is continuing to expand and grow in our efforts toward discipleship, housing, advocacy, education, fatherhood initiatives, and employment opportunities for Kokomo families.
